My professional philosophy is that the purpose of education is to provide students with the opportunity to see a world larger than them. One of the most dynamic feelings a person can have is the sense of accomplishment. This feeling cannot be purchased. It can only be felt through hard work and academic success.
It is my belief that through determination and focused hard work all students can learn. The teacher’s role is to facilitate students with goal setting strategies and guide them through the steps necessary to reach their goals.
I understand that students learn in many different ways.My teaching reflects methods that will ensure the success for all learners. Some students need to touch, others need to see, and still others need to hear to internalize new information.Adult learners need to see how their learning new information is connected with real life experiences. As a facilitator of adult learning it is important to make connections and foster discussions that help motivate them in their quest for individual improvement. In our role as facilitators of learning it is our responsibility to not only be an expert in the subject matter we must understand how children and adults develop and learn.
As a professional educator my job is to create a classroom environment that is rich in instructional techniques that integrate technology.I am passionate about student achievement and their role within our community.
It is my philosophy and belief that by consistently reassessing my teaching styles and student progress I will provide students, parents, teachers, and administration with feedback designed to increase achievement.I am committed to setting and maintaining high standards.
Finally, my professional philosophy of education is to inspire my students to become global thinkers, technology efficient, cultured, and valuable citizens in the community. If this is accomplished they will become life-long learners and successful members of society.
